Howdy Devon,
After six weeks of daily work on your great lessons, I am pleased to post today a first sample of what I can produce so far.
I had several challenges to cope with on this one:
1 - I had to learn a song in a foreign language ;
2 - I had to train a new strumming I was not used to ; I have a sympathy to those how blame themselves when the bass cord is not hit properly ;
3 - I had to mix them two in harmony ;
4 - Last but not least, I had to calm my nerves in front of a camera though just a computer webcam here.
Anyhow there I am with a bit of relief.
I apologise for the poor quality of the image and of the sound. But this is a pure amateur stuff.
I will warmly appreciate to read your comments on this one. Do not be too complaisant. I measure many improvements have still to be made. I love that song so much that it deserves a better performance for sure.
Thanking you in advance,
Yours Faithfully
Luc
résultats fantastiques!
Great job, Luc! That is a tough song to sing to, I've tried. I can sing it, or I can play it, but I really struggle with doing them at the same time.
Also, I don't think I would do as well as you did if I had to sing a French song!
Awesome job luc!
Very enjoyable. Thanks for posting. And you've done a great job of getting that southern twang into your voice!
Merci beaucoup !
Many thanks Sue.
Be my try an encouragement for you to reach the same success as I have shown here. If I did you may do it also.
Thanks for your kind words about my English too though I still miss it too often for my taste.
What a word! And with the thumb up: no confusion.
Entertaining the folks around me is actually my ultimate goal.
Using this word at this stage just tells me I'm on the right way.
Many, many thanks.
Thanks Dom.
Here is another complement deer to me.
Capturing southern twang was not on my list. But, I am glad you noticed it.
I have to admit I listen a lot of Appalachian music today with Harris' and Parton's and Nelson's and Carter's and Grand Ole Opry members' of all times not to mention Tennessee network.
So yes, my voice may capture a bit of that southern twang. But I like it.
Thank you again
And many thanks for all the others for their likes or their messages.
I like them all.
