@jrick92That’s great advice.
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk well at least if you get divorced you are on your way to writing your own country song 🤣
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk Yeah, divorce is probably not the best way to increase your practice time.
When you play a country song backwards, You get your wife back, your house back and your dog back 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
@yiwork That sounds like a great way to get some jam practice in. When I first came to CGO I had asked on the forum about what songs were played in informal bluegrass jams. I didn't get a whole lot of responses but I'll probably learn more from these videos.
@shysue Tyler Grant is a Winfield flat picking champ a few years back. It really is as close as you can come to being at a jam with out being there. He gives you the chance to kick the song off and lets you have a chance to do the break. Its great because only I can hear when I blow it. You can find him on Facebook at Tyler Grant Music.
@yiwork thanks for sharing.
I definitely need to check that out.
lately I’ve been Trying to learn some of Devin’s G licks in the guitar lick library.
he has some pretty cool licks.
I use the g licks every day to warm up
@jerseychicadee I play wildwood flower as my warm up. It gets my fingers moving.
I’ve been working on that one too. Right now, I’ve got Jerusalem Ridge, Banks of the Ohio, Clay Pigeons, All She Wants Is You, Forever and Ever Amen, and Enough to Leave down pat. A couple John Prine songs too but my finger style is slow to come. I make sure I hit the finger style hard at least once a week. I’m not a good boom chick. I like Travis and Flatpicking best.
