I’ve often thought that when listening to a song. I can hear the pick when I play if I’m not concentrating right. I can correct it quickly if I try. Just a sloppy habit. 

I changed to a heavier pick lately. When I started I had read to start with a light pick, so I bought about a hundred 0.5-0.8mm picks.  Now I buy 1-2.5 mm even couple 3mm. 

@jerseychicadee 3mm to heavy for me, I was thinking more of to many notes being played making it sound to picky.

I keep an array of thicknesses on my side table and in my pick pouch and on my nightstand and in my coat pocket and on my desk. I even have a little collection on top of the dryer and on the bathroom countertop. Lol

I have a draw string bag I drop them into (except my Bluechips). I do a blind grab just to entertain May self. 

Ha! Yep, I've heard some songs that are too picky as well.

I have the same issue sometimes. Very annoying. I haven't figured out what causes it. Maybe too stiff
