@rinny51. I wish my Taylor had that sound. Mine just sounded janky to me. Too bright twangy. Yours sounds sooooo much better. I did everything  to eliminate the plinky sound. It pays to go to the high end models that’s for sure. I’m stuck staying in the below $600 range. I almost pulled the trigger on a $1300 Martin yesterday but decided to hold back and stay on the cheap ass guitar spectrum. Great performance there!!

@jerseychicadee I think mine was in the $800 range. I just sat in the special room at GC till I found one that felt right.

I got such a great price on that Taylor 450 for a 675 guitar that had only been played like twice! I sold it for 575!  As a retired hippie, Taylor and Gibson have always been THE guitar. I’m not going to let the sound of that one Taylor skew my lust for the brand. I will make certain I’m not repulsed by the voice of an instrument. It’s like hearing a voice that just grates on her nerves.
