Well done RG. That's a brave choice of song. I looked into learning this one when i first saw it, before chickening out!

BTW, what's the deal with that drop-box app? Does it compress it for you automatically? I noticed the file size was just 9 megs which seems very small.

Very good! I also wondered about the purpose of dropbox .

Thanks guys,

I always use Dropbox mainly

Because I often use oversized files.

So this helps me file everything in a

Somewhat neat and organized manner.

@ewartboer Thanks for the compliment. For the licks I'm basically just practicing them over and over nonstop for hours until I have them memorized. Basically telling myself that I'm not moving on or letting go until I have this down.

I used to practice so much different stuff but I just recently started to narrow in on about 11 songs that  I want to play really well so that later on I can add in other guitar breaks and improvise. I noticed that I started to really spread myself thin on a lot of other stuff kind of half learning here and there and I started to lose a little of my focus in playing and practicing. For me I found this to be a better approach to my development as a player. I'm hoping with the top songs I have in my cue and the diversities that each has that it will kind of globally shape/enhance my overall learning and playing. I have a number of songs in the list that are easy to play and sing which keeps it fun and my mood in a good place so I don't feel discouraged trying to tackle all these tuff songs.

I have a few in there that are challenging like "Likes of Me"  "Tennessee Stud Devin/Billy Strings Version" & Nine Pound Hamer Devin's Version"

Between all 11 songs there is a good mix of cross picking, guitar breaks and syncopation that I think covers everything that I would normally want to practice and get better at. Hopefully it achieves what I'm looking for. I guess time will tell.

So far I am really enjoying the terrain of the journey so far.

Great job on this song! And a smart approach on learning new songs. I also will lose focus and try all kinds of songs before I've really mastered any of them.

After watching your video I went back to Devins lesson. I’m not good enough to handle that at all.

@shysue Thankyou, Yeah I know it's an easy trap to fall into although I do love learning new things. I'm just carving out about 30 minutes a day on that instead of an hour or so like I used to just so I stay on track.
