Hey guys great to have a forum going now eh? Just wondering if there are any other country pickers here in England. Be great to get together maybe ?

I'm in England! Glad to see there's (one) more of us.
Hey Emmyis that's great to hear, where about in UK are you?
Are there any sessions by you? Bluegrass isn't the most common over here, but I love it and have been listening / playing it for 20 years odd.
I'm not the best but I really enjoy it, and it's great working through this site isn't it.
Let me know your thoughts

I’m coming from Canada and writing English for me it isn’t easy but I’ll do my best , anyway I enjoy to have many friends to share guitar passion together...
Hello Jocelyn, your English is much better than my French. One thing I'd love to do is learn another Language so you have a big advantage over me. Good for you

i am from belgium but let s trine meet next time i come around england !
I am near Oxford. Originally from Milan, Italy but I lived over here for 17 years...started learning acoustic guitar when I was 17 but then abandoned it until after I finished my degree. Last year I travelled to York to pick up a clock I bought on ebay, and happened to walk by the Minster, where Rachel Dawick, from New Zealand, was busking with her Gibson Hummingbird. I was hooked on guitar (and singing) again. She's amazing. Look her up on YouTube.
Hi Alex. Had a listen to her, she's got a great voice hasn't she? Very Celtic. I'm a real blue grass fan but as I said earlier in UK we also have our own fab folk scene. I'm a huge fan of Fairport Convention, but I've just started to listen to Sam Kelly and the lost boys. Check them out I think you'd like them.

Hi Justin,
Yes, i've checked them out and they're amazing! Do you have any youtube videos of your own playing? I bet you're well advanced! Do you do vocals as well?

Check out the Omagh Bluegrass Festival just a short flight away from you.
its the biggest bluegrass in europe.
Hi, from Cornwall, UK, always up for a potential new jam buddy if you're ever down my way
Ha, that sounds cool, where do you play at ?
@alexcontinilive-co-uk hey Alex, didn’t realise you were in Oxford, good to hear you.
I'm totally new to playing this kind of music although I love to listen to it. I really wanted to head to the Black Deer Festival this year to get my fix of live music but obviously that has been scuppered. I'm in Oxford if anyone else out there wants to try and jam (when we're allowed!).
