What Do you call Thus style?
Seems like her catalog would fall somewhere between fingerstyle blues and old-time. She's definitely not strictly one or the other. Amazing music. I put her on playlists with Robert Johnson and John Fahey.
It’s a righty guitar but she’s playing it lefty
Good Song, and Picking!
I would call it fingerpicking traditional. Kind of Carter style.
It is weird to see that low E on the bottom.
Elizabeth Cotton figured out her own style when she was a little girl. She wrote the song "Freight Train, Freight Train" when she was about 11 or 12. She learned to play by sneaking in and borrowing her big brother's guitar.
Apparently this is where the saying (Cotton Pickers) come from.
Um, I'm not sure about that but we'll go with it. LOL.
