Seems like her catalog would fall somewhere between fingerstyle blues and old-time. She's definitely not strictly one or the other. Amazing music. I put her on playlists with Robert Johnson and John Fahey.

I would call it fingerpicking traditional. Kind of Carter style. 

It is weird to see that low E on the bottom.

Elizabeth Cotton figured out her own style when she was a little girl. She wrote the song "Freight Train, Freight Train" when she was about 11 or 12.  She learned to play by sneaking in and borrowing her big brother's guitar.
