Steve Earle talking about losing Justin this past year. I watch Steve play mostly to study his style. The Bumble Bee thumb pick and the Martin 000-28 stand out for me. The 000-28 looks and sounds a lot like my Roadhouse (to me). The 000-28 costs $3299 and Roadie about $500. I still lust for an expensive small body Martin.
I like his playing, but wish the video was back a bit so you could see how he's playing. Most of his guitar is out of the picture.
It's just incredibly sad that he lost his son. 😢
Remember the video you posted a while back Stay All Night? The young man on the left side of the video in that video is Steve Earle. Lol
Thanks for sharing
Maybe I posted it? I’m old. But it was in the thread about Stay All Night. I watch it all the time on YouTube. Seeing all those young people, sitting around the table, smoking, partying like we did ‘back in the day’ reminds me... I wonder what ever happened to MY kerosene lamp ??? Hummmm? 💭 🤔 🤔 💭
@jerseychicadee Yep, I remember that video but I don't remember now if you posted it or I did. LOL
That clip was from a full-length documentary/movie (Heartworn Highways) I can't find although I've been trying for awhile now.
His Galway Girl always gets a crowd on the dance floor.
I enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
I wasn't familiar with Steve Earle so I listened to several of his songs this morning. Good stuff!
I stumbled on Steve Earle by way of my love for Guy Clark, John Prine, Blaze Foley, Townes Van Zandt. Then Justin died and his style of playing is different, almost painful to watch.
All these guys lead to Willie, Kris and Merle in one way or another
Don't forget Jerry Jeff, we have a local station playing his music lately 😀 😀
