Hope Devin doesn't mind me plugging somebody else's (free) lesson 😬 but I just wanted to share this this tune from Acoustic Guitar magazine.
Alan Barnosky put together tab and a demo of a gorgeous version of Sally Ann in open G tuning by a little-known guitarist called Dudley Hill.
I'd never even tuned a guitar to open G, let alone played anything, but I've managed to get this pretty much nailed in about a week (which means it can't be too difficult!)
It sounds great, and was SO much fun to learn.

Awesome...thanks for sharing...I would never have heard of this artist without the link
This is a wonderful tune. I'm going to try it out myself soon. The alternate tunings do open up a whole other world to playing, and I like the Drop D tuning as well.Ā
Thanks for posting this one, Kate!
I love the Drop D as well...so much to learn 😊Ā
Nice tune. Iām going to tune one of my guitars to Drop D later today.Ā
As if I didn't already have enough to learn, but it is fun to play with theses tunings.
