Practice time?

Yes. It's become an end of the day fixture for me. I get out my OM sized Yamaha FS820 - the sofa guitar- and noodle around while half watching the TV. If i'm watching properly with the wife I will put it away, (It's pretty annoying for the other person) but if i'm on my own and not particularly engaged, i'll be having a play at the same time. Two birds/One stone.

Sometimes I'll pull up one of those Youtube backing tracks - like Deep Ethereal Ballad Guitar Jam - and see how my lead guitar skills are developing by riffing away in a key i like (like A minor). It's good practice time actually. Recommended.

Now, I didn't know there was such a thing on YouTube! Learn something new everyday. Thanks, Dom!

Since finding CGO I’ve used backing tracks from everywhere during practice at least 3 times a week. I still use Devins most often. Lately, I’ve been using backing tracks to play the songs on my favorites list. I think I’m pretty cool when doing this but only do it when I’m alone so far. Don’t want to subject my poor son to the torture

So I checked out some backing tracks on YouTube and haven't found any I like so far. But I'm gonna keep looking.

@shysue There are just so many different types, it can be hard to find what suits you.

I went and downloaded Strum Time. Devin has spoiled me for life. His backing tracks are just so comfortable to play along with.

I still struggle to play along with a backing track, even Devin's. Me trying to play with a backing track makes me feel sorry for my husband trying to play along with me. He has a hard time with it.
