I used to think I was a singer but that ship has sailed. Then I thought I was a performer but that is one thing I’ve realized I’m not. I do like to just sit in the dark and play my guitar. Same songs every day. I don't inflict the pain of listening to my playing on others so you all won't have to suffer that agony. People ask me to play for them and I tell them I don't do that. I play for my own entertainment. I think I sound wonderful. Lol

Oh how I understand you... and at the same time, sometimes when you play alone, you want to share your happiness so much that sometimes you have to give it a go, even though it's often frustrating, right?
@thib You would be surprised how many people are out there earning a living with 3 Chords a Capo and with a horrible voice 😆 😆
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk And don't even get me started on Rap. I never did understand the attraction of that particular genre. No tune, no melody, just bad poetry.
There’s a picture. A fingerpicking bluegrass cowboy hat wearing rapper
@jerseychicadee That is funny J.C. You don't see too many rappers playing guitar these days though. Their instrument of choice is usually a turntable. They hold the tone arm and use the stylus to scratch a record and that sound is supposed to be musical. In fact you don't hear a lot of guitars in most of today's pop music. Sythesizers mostly.
When asked “can you sing?”… my standard answer is “no, but I do anyway.”
@theycallmebigal Same here with a Guitar, But I don't mind doing some Karaoke songs in the Pub. 😀 😀
Someone asked me if I could sing tenor. I said sure and they replied that I should go ten or more miles away if I wanted to sing.
