@jrick92 it definetly takes some practice to become smooth and fast
I’m getting better but man it’s slow.
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk can you finger pick with just your hands and no pick? If you can do that it’s pretty much just getting a rhythm going.
I just use my fingers mostly trying to train my brain to the the thumb pick.
@rinny51 Yes but being a Joiner by trade i have short finger nails causing a dull sound when playing.
@rinny51 It looks so difficult but i must give it a go, although its difficult to teach old dogs new tricks 🤣
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk I also have short nails but with practice you can improve the volume without using long nails. Long nails make too bright a sound in my opinion.
@jerseychicadee Hybrid picking will quickly expose any weak or buzzing frets.
I think it is helping me become a more accurate with my fretting/placement. The dog hasn’t been giving me the side eye as much.
I don’t use my finger nails when finger picking. I pluck the strings with pad of my fingers.
My finger nails have never been strong. Very thin. Break easy. Not meant to used as a tool by any means.
