I left Penny in the box overnight. This working thing seriously impacts my guitar time. These iPhone 12’s have kept my line swamped.
It is pretty amazing how many different guitar makers there are, and custom luthiers, too. There are old brands that are making a comeback, like Recording King. That was a really old guitar maker that kind of faded away for awhile but they are coming back strong with reasonably priced, good quality parlor and dreadnought guitars. I like Gretsch, too, and that company has been around for a long time.

You have a lot of self control. I would have ripped the box open as soon as I got it. 😀
I got her out of the box this am and have only gotten to tune and drool on her as I have to work today until 7. Nice fret finish and love the feel so far.
I like this little Gretsch. The quality is great. I’m pleased so far with the action. Love the feel of it in my lap. I got the white and in love. I still treasure my Roadie and Goldie. My Taylor is in the car and gonna spend another night there as I’m busy with Penny. My poor Taylor is an orphan. My Fender is just abandoned 20 feet from me and stares at me jealously.
All this talk about new guitars is making me want to buy another one lol
@rinny51 I know, right? I love getting new guitars but we have enough as it is.
There was some news awhile back about Guitar Center possibly declaring bankruptcy, and I told my husband we should buy a Gibson Hummingbird if they have a good price on when they sell off their inventory. They'll probably just do a re-organization though, so no great prices on guitars, I'm sure.
I could sell all of my guitars and still not have enough to buy a Martin or Taylor or Gibson. Lol
