@rinny51 I haven't yet but I know exactly where I want to them to go. Hubby said he would do it but hasn't "had the time," I may end up doing it myself. Looks pretty straightforward.
@jerseychicadee I've already put a couple of dings in my D-18 since I bought it last spring and I didn't even move anywhere. Just look at the ding as added character for your guitar. Nothing stays perfect forever.
Got to ding them guitars once in a while to keep them in tune with you.
I wonder what these people who buy insanely expensive guitars are planning to do with them? You may as well put them in a museum unless you're prepared for the dings.
BTW, cedar topped guitars are much worse than spruce. I've re-named my cedar topped Simon and Patrick, Scarface, because it looks like someone took a machete to it. In fact it was the corner of my desk.
To most all, my guitars are considered entry level, low priced but to me $300-600 is a substantial investment. My Taylor, who is the most expensive and the red headed step child of my collection sustained a ding somewhere/somehow I never batted an eye. Little Roadie, gets a booboo im looking for a defibrillator. Lol
Randy Shartiger just posted a video on YouTube with a boo boo just like Roadie’s little ding. I was gonna try to fix it with completely different stuff. Saved by YouTube again!
