Which Oil should i use Lemon oil or Linseed Oil?
I used to use lemon oil until I read some articles on the subject that said it could actually dry out the wood on your fretboard. I got some F-One oil from Music Nomad that works pretty good, and a little goes a long ways. You can find it on Amazon or Guitar Center or probably any place that sells guitars.
Never tried linseed oil though.

Randy Shartiger uses Linseed Oil. He says it doesn’t matter boiled or not. I found it at Lowe’s for about $9. Know Your Gear Guy, Phillip McKnight, did say Lemon Oil will dry the fretboard out but also said it’s okay to use in the next breath. What you buy is pretty diluted and mostly fragrance. He said Sweetwater uses Lizard Spit Brand. McKnight also said never use Olive Oil because it will rot. I have 2 bottles of Dunlop Fretboard lemon oil I’ve had for about 8 years. (I got it for free for leaving a glowing review on some guys eBay feedback). Watch Randy Shartiger (Guitar Garage or The House That Never Sleeps) video (4 of them on Devin’s D15 repairs). I learn a lot from him and he is hilarious!

I recently purchased the lemon oil from Jim Dunlop I like it so far.
I have never oiled my fret board. How often are you supposed to,do that? I have been playing for 30 years lol

I watch his videos all the time. I like that he tells it like it is. I think through Randy I found CGO. I’m retired and poor, hence I do my own maintenance. I buy off eBay and Craigslist so I often need to fix stuff.
