Great tips thanks Devin
Thanks man! your beginner lessons are really helping me out. I’d love to see more of those.
Hi Devin, i have found your site yesterday and it is just great. I immediatly made a gold pick account for a year! 🙂 What guitars do you play? I like this one in this video very much! All the best from Austria, Europe, Hannes
Hey Hannes, Thanks for joining! The guitar in this video is a 1999 Martin D-15. Back in 1999 they made them with mahogany but now Martin uses sapele wood on the D-15. If you can find an older one with mahogany I think that’s the way to go. I’ve also got a Martin D-16GT that you’ll see in a lot of the newer videos and a Collings D-1 in some older videos. Just sold the Collings a couple months ago and looking for another Martin soon…maybe a D-28 this time. Appreciate you going Gold Pick Annual. Hope you enjoy the… Read more »
I found this helpful, yes agree everything you pointed out works for me too!
Devin, I’m using a BlueChip TD40 teardrop shape 1.0mm. I’m just curious what the advantage is to using the 3 sided pick and why you choose to use the STP smaller version. Thank you in advance.
Hey Jim – Since this video, I’ve actually switched to the TP60. That’s been my favorite by far. It’s the same triangle shape but it’s a bit larger…probably more of a standard size. I like the 60 thickness also..a little fatter and gives a nice rich tone. I just like the feel of the three sided triangular shape. I never use the other two edges. It just feels like the triangle shape has less pick sticking out to get caught on the strings and more for me to grip. That’s just my take on it!
Devin, do you have a referral or promo code for Blue Chip where you get any reward for sending folks their way? They should be paying you!!! I’m fixing to place an order
All this micro adjustments. Should help me get my volume up!
