So, do I take it that this is played over a G major chord?

In most cases you can play it over any chord in a key of G chord progression. Works really well over most songs in G. The plan is to add more videos to the Bluegrass Improvising Course showing how to use these exact licks in different songs. I mark it finished but know I also marked added to favorites.. I want to get this faster tempo as well as different positions on the fret board.. enjoying!
