Devin, thank you so much for teaching me amazing songs every day and providing the opportunity to win an amazing pick. I should have become a member a year ago when my dad first mentioned the site!

Got a question for anybody who knows the answer...

I've been playing guitar since I was 6, and I've always enjoyed using thinner picks, although I am now using a .73 which is not crazy thin... Will this be a disadvantage moving forward in terms of trying to flatpick super quickly? I'm unsure whether I should stick to what's comfortable, or if I should break my habit and move to a .9 or 1.0... I realize I could probably find the answer on google, but I'd much rather talk to humans.

Any thoughts ya'll? Thanks!!!!

Hey Mac how’s it going? I used to play with a Dunlop .73mm and now I’m playing with a blue chip pick TP 40. It took me a couple weeks to be accustomed to. I would say it is easier for me to alternate picking down and up between strings. The sound is warmer. As you Can see there are different shapes and to me that was not a piece of cake to choose one of them. Devin can help you a lot. Have a good one Mac.

TP40= +/-1mm I guess, so the transition was not too important to me!

I used .88 mm pics forever and swore by them. Anytime I used something else, it felt weird. Then one day I started trying different pics and I'm loving it. It took some getting used to for sure. I'd say just get a mixed pack and wail away with whatever is in there. Now I find it a lot easier to switch pic gauges depending on what kind of sound/style I'm going for.
