Great suggestion Jersey Chickadee, but after many years of hard work putting together all these lessons and courses, our fearless leader might be taking a much deserved break.  That is my theory.  I hope you are well and still have some of Devin's arrangements still to learn.  I know I have, but it would be nice to see something new and challenging on the platform.

@jambongris Hi Michael, I hope you're well... nothing with the subject, but I 'm just finishing my last guitar construction, I wanted to let you know and see.

@thib Great to hear from you Tibo! I see you are becoming more of an experimental builder.  I don't think I'm looking at a conventional AAA Spruce top here, am I? And the sound hole appears to be located somewhere you don't usually find a sound hole.  Pardon my ignorance, but was that your original idea or have there been other guitars on the market with that feature?  I really like the look of the fretboard but I'm curious to know what that item is between the last fret and the bridge.  Would you say this is another 00 size guitar?  The lack of a pickguard is a good idea.  I've always heard that removing the pickguard enhances the sound of the guitar.  Anyways Tibo, if the sound quality matches your previous effort, I'd say you have a winner there.  Maybe I'll get to hear it some day.

@jambongris

Hi Michael, thanks, that's great!
I still have things to learn, there are still a lot of little mistakes, but yes, I'm happy, it's beautiful and it sounds good!
It has a Red Cedar top, a walnut body, and a plane tree fingerboard and bridge (all the woods are Belgian).
It's a 0-size, I took the measurements from a 1915 Washburn parlor that's at a friend's house,
and I made a KOPO DUBLIN style guitar (you can Google it) which is a dream guitar.
I did end up making a small plane tree pickguard that I glued on yesterday.
The build was a great adventure... but I haven't practiced the guitar much in recent months, now I have to start playing again!
I also saw Neil Young in Paris in July, great!!!
And you, have you learned any new lessons that you're enjoying?
Have a good evening, see you soon!
Tibo

@thib I did Google Kopo Dublin and now I've learned something new, so thanks for that Tibo.  Yesiree, that is one cool looking guitar you've built!  Like you Tibo, I haven't been playing all that much lately, but the new lessons I have been learning and memorizing are those that feature Devin on his back porch in the summertime (I'm guessing), playing these tunes that are, for the most part, 12 bars in length, which is perfect for learning in the summer when you want to do other stuff, especially living in a colder climate where warm weather calls for other activities other than guitar.  Here are the names of those 12 bar tunes that I found fun to learn:  Two Bluegrass Solos in C,  12 Bar Blues in G, Country Bluegrass Jam in G.  In addition, I learned two tunes in Drop D this summer:  Tennessee Waltz and Angeline the Baker.  Give these a try if you want Tibo. Keep picking, as our friend John used to say.
