Billy is great!
Not a typical Billy Strings session but I kind of think this probably is my favorite. He plays better than I’ve ever heard him play. I like that the video lets us see his fingers and fretting movements. He usually plays so fast you can’t see his fingers moving. It’s so fast it’s a big blur. I’d like to learn this sound. His voice is great also. He’s always enjoyable to watch but as a want to be guitar player I like to watch the fretting and strumming. Gives me hope.
@jerseychicadee yeah this song seems pretty attainable. I learned half of the guitar break but I don’t know the verses or chorus. It seems like it would be a fun one to play. Even without the guitar break or even if the guitar break can’t be played at full speed. All around, I think it’s a great melody.
For Billy Strings it’s an easy song to keep up with. He don’t go all ‘Billy’ on it. I can play it, not well, not smooth, not at tempo. I can hear the melody. I’ll keep working on it. Whenever I’ve tried to play anything by Billy I usually run screaming ‘I quit’ 1 measure in!!
I wonder if it is hard for Billy to go so slowly 🤣

So true, I remember a lesson where Devin let it go and caught himself and said, “I like to play fast sometimes.” I know at work it’s hard for me to go slow when I’m teaching a new agent.

Anything he plays is always to difficult for me. 🤔
