My user name is TXSteel because pedal steel guitar is my favorite instrument. Lately I've been taking a break to re-visit my acoustic roots.

I have one guitar - a 2019 J45 standard that I bought new in Dallas and really love. Before this one, my last good guitar was a 1974 Southern Jumbo Deluxe. It needed a neck reset but I only strummed cowboy chords on it anyways. In 2014 I sold it and all my guitar stuff to buy a pedal steel guitar.

I love country and other clean-sounding music. I've been exploring the musical scene from the past and enjoying a lot of new-to-me stuff.
