Which course is the best for getting started as a beginner?
I haven't done any of the courses, Michael, but I can heartily recommend some of the song lessons.
Devin's recent arrangement of Wildwood Flower in G would be one that I would start with.
After that, I'd consider Arkansas Traveler and then maybe Cold Frosty Morning. Enjoy.
I'd just like to add one more, Michael. Red Haired Boy would be an excellent choice for a beginning flat picker. The lesson has two different arrangements that are both a lot of fun to learn. Â

@martinfan Excellent, Martin. Now put those strumming patterns to use, if you'd like, with some classic bluegrass songs like Whiskey Before Breakfast and Worried Blues.
I started on theCountry & Bluegrass Strumming course. I think it's the best way to start whether your are beginner or new to country like I am - I come from a rock background and found that this was gap I didn't know I had! You get started with songs pretty quickly as well with this course.
