Right hand technique

I currently play with my pinky Resting next to the E string So I know where my right hand is at. I was curious if this considering ok Or if my right hand should be floating.

I think that location does sound the best on my Martin. I was more toward the center of the sound hole. Thanks

That's a good one. I saw a guy performing at a rodeo years ago that would take requests and impersonate the artist. The one I remember most was his Willie Nelson.
