I love to listen to John Prine interviews (and his songs too). He tells the best stories about his songs. He talks about SAM STONE and the post office radio. Never to be forgotten

My son did that a couple years ago. Bought cheap, a dilapidated Western style home on acreage. Completely remodeled and relandscaped. Worked every minute he could on it. Then the fiancé sold it, took all the money and moved to Montana with a new boyfriend.   She transferred all the money into her mother’s name, bought a house for cash (in her mother’s name).  All he got was the finger. He has a lawsuit. One day his phone rings and it’s the new boyfriend. She tried to do it to him but he wised up after a couple months. Called my son and told him her and her mother are con artists. Live and learn. 

@jerseychicadee sounds like a story in a country song. I knew a guy he had a bunch of toys. His wife convinced him to sell all his stuff so he could buy something new. He sold it all and before he could buy anything she divorced him.
