Just watched this Billy Strings video the other day featuring Michael Cleveland, really great stuff. Would love to see some of yalls favorite country/bluegrass youtube vids! Post some links!

There are a ton, but I like this one from Billy.
I was at the recording of this show in Owensboro. If you know where to look, you can see me and my wife in the audience in the intro. Check out Molly's claw hammer technique.Β Molly is up there in my book as one the best pickers around today.Β The entire line up that evening was awesome.
Nice Elliot! Great idea for a forum topic. This will be a fun one!

@k_simmons Molly Tuttle is awesome 👌and wow that clawhammer technique is really neat. I've been playing a bit of clawhammer banjo recently, this vid definitely makes me want to give it a go on guitar.
It was definitely something to see her play live.Β Lots of greats on stage that evening. I'll try to find when that show is scheduled to run on PBS and post it here.

@k_simmons That would be awesome! Would love to check that out
I really enjoy Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. Here's an old video from a concert they did awhile ago. Would like to be able to play the solo in the song like David Rawlings does. One day, maybe.
I just ran across this video of Mark O'Connor and thought I'd share. Six minutes of shredding on acoustic. Pretty incredible!

@shysue Awesome! That solo is quite tasteful, and they make quite the duet pair. Interesting guitar and venue as well.
@devin Jeez, he completely shreds it! Even dips into a little metal for a stretch there around 3:10 haha. Crazy how clean his playing is at such heroic speeds...
Thanks for posting that video. I hadn't heard of Mark O'Connor before, but I see he has a Grammy on the shelf behind him so he must be pretty good, LOL.Β
I've been "discovering" all these excellent guitarists lately that I wasn't aware of before. Just found out about John Fahey a couple of months ago. He's quite an interesting artist.
There's a lot of music that I hadn't really paid much attention to in my life but now that I'm getting more serious about playing guitar I'm learning about all the different artists. Hubby & I went to Pickin' in the Pines in Flagstaff last fall and it opened up the whole world of Bluegrass to me, and now I'm having fun learning about that genre.Β
Rocky Top is such a great banjo song.Β

@macschildergmail-com Nice one! I would love to go climb ol rocky top right now...
Here's a fun one:
