Yes, there is! Right before you submit your forum post/reply, below the text box where you type everything, you'll see a checkbox to "Subscribe to this topic"...check that box, and then one more step... you'll receive an email to confirm that you want to "subscribe" to the topic...click to confirm in the email and that'll do it. Now you should receive notifications any time someone posts to your topic or reply.
