The Collings D3 looks pretty cool. George Strait uses one. Any body know about it, or Collings Guitars in general?
I know that Devin plays a D2H maybe he will chime in.
Collings are great, but would also advise you to have a look at the Gallagher models as well.
Got mine (a Doc Watson signature) for about a year ago and it is by far the best guitar I have played on.
I know they make some of the nicest acoustic and electric guitars we will ever see and hear. Their guitars are well sought after and coveted by guitar players the world over
Had a friend back in Austin who worked there in the Mandolin Dept. Got to play some of his guitars. Really nice playing and pretty instruments. He's the one that got me into Bluegrass.
I think they make one of the best guitars in the world.
