000 body size for country/bluegrass

Hi everyone, I’m new here and loving it. I currently have a Martin 000 road series and I love the guitar. I am looking at getting a second guitar and now that I feel my skills are worthy I’d like to upgrade to a Martin 17 series. My question is should I be getting the dreadnought if I’m playing country/bluegrass? Seems like 9/10 people are playing Dreadnoughts. Obviously the 000 is more comfortable and it sounds great but still I wonder. I don’t finger pick. Flatpicking and strumming is more my thing. Thanks for any and all advice.

I will also defer to my predecessors when it comes to answering your question.  This previous thread might be helpful.

I have 2 dreadnoughts  and a 000, I like the 2 sizes, but when I want play bluegrass or folk, Neil young tunes etc... I prefer the Dreads. For blues and finger picking I plau the 000, but the 000 is very versatile and of course I can play bluegrass and folk on it! To resume, it's cool to have both!
