Thanks to everyone that participated! Here are the January 2024 winners:
1st: Landon
2nd: John
3rd: Michael Graham
The prizes were sponsored by PRS. They sent some accessories that we'll divide between the January winners. Stand by for the prizes...I'll post those to the forum in the next day or so.
Also, the February 2024 Giveaway rules are changing. Basically, 2 things you have to do:
1) Submit the entry form here: https://countryguitaronline.com/monthly-giveaway-points-leaderboard/
2) Post audio or video of you playing in the "Showcase Your Playing" section of the forum here https://countryguitaronline.com/community/showcase-your-playing/ This can be of you playing a CGO lesson arrangement, or anything that you want to showcase.
Looking forward to the February submissions!

Thanks to CGO and especially PRS for their generous sponsorship of the January contest!
congrats to the lucky ones in the draw!
@thib Honourable mention to you, Thib, for arguably the best recording of the month.
@jambongris hi Michael, too friendly ! I 've understood there was 5 winners choosen with a random, but now i don't know if it was that rules... ? Good shiny day!!
Hey Everyone! I've been really swamped over here and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to wrap up the monthly giveaways. Apologize for that! I got behind on mailing out the January prizes (they're still coming) and I'm going to announce the February winners in a week or so. Stay tuned! I've been wrapping up a new lesson on Old Joe Clark covering a fun arrangement and improvising ideas in the key of A. I think y'all will like it.
Thanks for your understanding on the delay! Hope y'all have a great week - Devin

@devin The folks I jam with started playing that song. I’m new to playing bluegrass and am trying to learn this on my own. Some really cool chord changes, looking forward to the solo lesson.
Thanks!
I guess my April Fools Joke about me winning the February Contest didn't fool anyone. The winner is still to be determined. Stay tuned.
@jambongris Sorry Michael, I 've just read your message now! sure you are the joke winner! and certainly a guutar winner!
My nerves begin to go better, I've played two hours in 6 weeks ..., but I hope better days...
So I boughts new woods for a new guitar project!
@thib Thanks for the kind words Thib. I'm glad to hear that there has been some improvement with the injury. It must be frustrating that you can't play as much as you'd like. Still, turning your hand to building instead of playing guitar keeps you connected and may prove to be therapeutic.
@jambongris thanks Mr jambon ! Ididn't know that joking the 1st of april was an international coutume !
Here is a picture of the back and sides wood, it is "platane" in french.
@thib I love the tight circular grain in the wood. I think the North American equivalent might possible be the Sycamore tree. You probably wouldn't have bought it unless it is commonly used as a tone wood. I need to look into this more. As for April Fools day Thib, I was wondering if France recognized this day too and they do. Big time. But there is another element to the day in France. Something to do with fish? Poisson d'Avril? I was going to say that when you read that I'd won the contest, you smelled something fishy in that statement.
