Music stores - I’ll bet there’s a couple of music stores in the Phoenix-area that would have a couple of Resos that you could get an idea. In Denver, we have two shops that come to mind that are Folksy and Bluegrass oriented where they always have a few lying around.
Although the differences of the squareneck being so different from a guitar seems daunting, it really isn’t that bad. It took me a week or so to get used to the finger picks, slide, and lap position. Joe and Troy really break it down and make it easy. And with Open-G tuning (gbdgbd), it’s quite easy to blend into a bluegrass ensemble as you have a major chord at every fret position. Sure, the fun about Dobro are the fills and solos but it’s easier to be crawling along while you work on that stuff.
@alicelarhotmail-com Okay, I'll let you know what we get. 🙂
