Does anybody own a Gibson J200?
Not me! It seems to be fantastic guitars!
I don't, but ever since I was a kid, I've lusted after a J-200, especially after seeing Elvis perform "Teddy Bear" in one of his early movies. He's got this beautiful solid maple guitar that he doesn't even play. It's like a prop, but it steals the show. My first guitar was a J-15 and I had every intention of getting a J-200 one day. As a strummer there is no sweeter sounding guitar, but now that my focus is on flatpicking, I'm leaning more towards a guitar that complements that genre, like a Martin.
@wjssavhotmail-co-uk Yes, you also see it referred to as a SJ-200 for Super Jumbo. Both names refer to the same model though.
@jambongris yes apparently it offers exceptional playing comfort for strumming, short tuning fork, and easy like an electric!
@thib The only caveat being, the super jumbo body might be too unwieldy for some people.
@jambongris Yes, I also tend to the 000 size, so the jubo must be a lttle bit to big heavy for my little house 😉
