Hi,
I would like to invest in a microphone for my acoustic guitars, but which could easily be removed and placed on another (from Recording King to Martin), ideally without having to drill the sides.
Has anyone already tested PRODIPE?
Thanks for the information, I have been looking for a pickup for my new D28 this looks perfect and simple to install.
Nobody has a good advice on this ?
@thib I can't help, but the store where I bought my guitar (Long & McQuade) are a Canadian institution when it comes to musical instruments and especially guitars and recording equipment. I'm sure if you emailed them, they'd be happy to help. You could say you are planning a visit or you know someone (me) who could pick up the item you need for you. Anyways, that's all I can think of. Their email is ottawa@long-mcquade.com
Thanks Michael !
Ok i order a mic, you go pick it for me, i take a fly, i visit m'y wife's family in Sherbrooke, i quickly Say Hello to some whales, i come in Ottawa, we drink a beer, i try to see Neil yong in histoire hometown, and i Can come back happy !
@thib That sounds great. Pretty sure Neil went down to L.A. and joined Buffalo Springfield in the sixties and then CSN of course and never looked back, but I could be mistaken. That's so cool about your in-laws being Quebecois and Sherbrooke is only a stone's throw from here, 350km. or so which is a relatively short distance in this big sprawling country. Maybe the easiest thing to do would be for me to pick up your item and mail it to you though.
Sometimes NY come back:
@thib Now, I need to hide MY head in shame. You know more about Neil than I do. Gotta confess, he was never my favourite. Too folksy for my liking, but there is one song that really gets to me, and I never heard it before my Mom started playing it and it was her absolute favourite song of all time: Harvest Moon. I still need to learn how to play it. Drop D. Neil likes Drop D tuning. An absolute masterpiece IMO.
@jambongris yes fantastic song... Not too difficult to play.... But to sing ☹️☹️
@thib Neil has that unique high register singing voice, which as you say, makes it difficult to replicate without hurting yourself, lol.
@jambongris Yes ... already i'm not comfortable singing... NY is difficult to approach. I like singing my my hey hey..
@thib Hey, hey, my, my. Rock and roll can never die. Right. He does sing that one in a voice that is easily replicated. Songs like Helpless, helpless are a little more difficult without straining the vocal chords.
I seen him play in Belfast a few years back he was unbelievable.
