@jrick92 That it does. But I think I've learned a lot from playing guitar that I can apply to learning banjo, even though it is a much different instrument. I think I can achieve some level of competence on the banjo that I couldn't on the mandolin, although I'm still working on that, too.
I agree...not good on either or mandolin but it all helps
I wonder if the Ukulele transfers over to the Banjo? Lol. I’m a good ukulele player.
I have a keyboard that I bought for my granddaughter years ago. It's fun to play around with. I would like to have a fiddle to play around with but I've never even had one in my hands.
I’ve thought a lot about some violin too. Never pulled the trigger yet
I thought about the fiddle too, but that is definitely more of a challenge than guitar, mandolin or banjo. Just think about the neck of that fiddle - there are no frets! So you have to really practice a lot to get oriented on the neck of that instrument, for sure.
For what it's worth the fiddle is tuned the same as a mandolin at GDAE. So if you could play mandolin maybe you could transfer that to fiddle, but I'm not sure about that, LOL.
You are right there...I don't have a problem with the lack of frets ..but the bowing is a whole different thing !!! 😖
I have a fret less Uke. I play with my eyes closed most of the time. (From the pain in my ears) lol
Love the fiddle breaks especially Ragtime Annie, Thanks for posting 😀 😀
A fret less uke. Now that's something I've never seen before.
