And a free chip holder key ring, too! Good deal.
@wjssavhotmail-co-Ukiah a small envelope. What would regular Mail cost?
John
JP Guitars in Bristol seem to be the only GB/NI stockist of Blue Chips. I've bought a few from them - the service is great, the owner Jon is really helpful.
Prices are even more astonishing than in the US though (£38) and I've never seen any special offers. I think they are worth the price for the tone and comfort/grip but I am a bit of a mug when it comes to guitar bits 🤣
I started with TAD 40 and 50, then found a barely used TD60 on ebay and felt I had better control with it (slightly smaller size). Recently bought a TD50 from JP which seems to be perfect for me.
Personally I find the wider, more triangular picks are better for a floating grip than the standard pick shape, but that's just me.
Kate
I just ordered another one just so I can get the free pick fob and engraving. Fourth on. I don’t remember what size but it’s triangular one
@kate Hi Kate I play with a TD 40 But i don't think JP Guitars would print my name on a new pick, i will remember JPs for my next pick thanks.
@jerseychicadee Not very much, I suppose it would be worth it to have a personalised pick.
Ah I see... Didn't realise it was the personalisation you were after.
Yep there's no engraving services which is a shame
Too pricey for me. I bought some Dunlop primetone 1.4mm picks earlier in the year which have bevels on them, and have started to put my own bevels on the Dunlop tortex (big purple triangles). It's quite fun doing your own with sandpaper, and hearing the differences between them depending on angles. I'm happy switching between the primetones and the purples for now.
I just had to call Blue Chip Picks about my order. Seems I didn’t complete it and when I tried to fix it my promos fell off. ( Story of my life with Verizon. The promos always fall off on the customers). The rep gave me the free shipping, free engraving and the free pick pouch. Small business excellence. America.
I think I lost all of my other picks besides the blue chip in the move
Dang. I missed the promo again. Just got too many things going on right now.
Call in. They gave the promo to me today. Tell them you tried to call and they were closed
I'm a fairly recent convert to the big triangles. I bought one many moons ago and hated it, and went back to the .7 grey dunlops for years.
last year I bought some black grippy 1mm dunlop teardrops, before switching early this year to the primetone triangles and the dunlop tortex purples (hand sanded by me). Now when i pick up a teardrop pick, they just don't feel right. I seem to have been won over, but of course the best pick tends to be the one you're used to using the most.
I've not tried the Blue Chips, and at 38 quid a pop, i'm not likely to.
I love my Blue Chip so much I bought. Blue Chip hat
