I am confused on the scale chart- I just complete lesson 2 fill riffs an lead G Major 5th position. This chart in this lesson does not line up with the chart under resources - scale charts for G major in 5th position. What am I missing?

Hi Scott... I might not understand the question exactly but if it helps at all... the picture you show is the 5th position up at the 12th fret. The position we typically use down at the nut is exactly the same but all the fretted 12th frets are played as open strings... does that make sense the way I wrote it?
example 12th fret and 15th fret are the same notes as open string and 3rd feet on the E string and B string
12th and 14th are the same notes as open and 2nd fret on the rest.
